Joseph Lanzetta

The Friends of Mercy are excited to announce that Joseph Lanzetta is the proud recipient of the Sister Nadine Casey, CIJ Award. Joe came to Mercy Hospital 14 years ago, after a 40 year career in the telecommunications industry with Verizon. He started at Mercy as the manager in Human Resources and is now the Director of Planning. Joe demonstrates his commitment to Mercy Hospital and its staff through daily interactions and collaboration with all staff members.
Joe’s dedication to enhancing the patient experience through initiatives such as the newly launched concierge service reflects a commitment to excellence. This emphasis on creating a positive first impression for patients and their families highlights his understanding of the importance of a warm and welcoming environment at Mercy Hospital.
Affectionately referred to as “Got to Go Joe”, he has cultivated meaningful and valuable relationships with the staff at Mercy Hospital. His genuine desire to help others, underscores his commitment to fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. The fact that many view Joe not only as a leader, but also as a mentor and coach speaks volumes about his approachability and willingness to guide and uplift those around him.
Joe’s recognition as the recipient of the Sister Nadine Casey award is well-deserved, not just for his individual contributions but for the positive impact he has on the collective efforts of the hospital staff. His focus on teamwork, support, and knowledge-sharing sets a commendable example for fostering a collaborative and thriving work atmosphere.
Joe, alongside his beautiful late wife Gerri, dedicated their lives to raising two remarkable sons, Joseph III and Blaise. Joe is a doting grandfather to two grandchildren, Joseph IV and Julien. The family circle is further enriched by Nicole, a cherished daughter-in-law who adds warmth and love to his family.
Joe’s story is a testament to the positive influence that dedicated individuals can have on the healthcare experience and the well-being of the community they serve.
